Did you know plagiarism is illegal? AND that it can kick you out of college? This is because plagiarism is someone else's work and not yours. Plagiarism is when you take an original idea and make it yours. You cannot make someone's work yours by changing the first and last words of the sentence and or paragraph. Colleges take plagiarism very seriously, professors may look up a sentence or two in your work and find out if it was taken from a website or blog at anytime. Also, borrowing is plagiarism as well. Copying and pasting isn't accepted in work or projects. If someone plagiarizes, its an automatic failure if the teacher or instructor is notified about it. Part of plagiarism is fraud; if you lie and convince someone that an original idea that someone else made, it is fraud. Plagiarism isn't good and only makes you look bad. If you plagiarism it can critically affect you in the future, whether for a job or college application.
